Palm Print Owls

While S was cutting up paper (See: My Little Green Hero post), I was looking for more stuff to do and look what I found. Sharanya made a lovely replica of two little owls on a tree…
This is what we used:
  • Thermacol Square (you could use card paper) for the background
  • Paper for the beak, or just paint it on (I’d initially planned to paint it, but S vetoed and decided to cut paper and stick it instead. Damn individuality! There was a time when she worshiped me)
  • Googly eyes, again, you could just paint them on (I wanted to paint them on, again vetoed!)
  • Paints for the branches and leaves (phew!!!)
  • And don’t forget that palm!

And here’s how we made it – S put her palm prints on the thermacol, messy messy, just look at her hand
We let it dry, not a very pleasant time, S is not known for her patience. I then painted the branches and leaves for her, once that was done and dry (hrmph!), she stuck on the googly eyes and the beak and feet.

Not bad for a morning’s work eh…
