Paper and Paint... a lot you can do

Another day and another way to keep S busy… but how??? The net has amazing things you can do, if only you had all the art material at home or, if you do have it… if you can find any of it. The second is true in my case.
So I located this awesome piece of craft to do, but couldn’t find any coloured tissue paper… and i know i have it somewhere. For the life of me, I couldn’t think of a way around it, so i decided to do something else and so was created our lovely colourful gift wrapping paper designs.
I took some colour pencils, bunched it together and fastened it with a rubber band (it works a lot better if you use the pencils with the rubbers at the end instead, I however didn’t have any, so i had to make do with the colour pencils). Squirted out some paint and and gave S a sheet of white paper.

She had a ball just block printing (if you can call it that) the entire page.
Ofcourse it did go from this…

to this
But she was having so much fun, and it seemed criminal to tell her to go slow… and then we used different stuff to make the prints too.
And we didn’t just stop there! Yesterday, we “made” spring using paper and a paper punch and we had loads of paper left with holes in them. So guess what we did??? Yup, we used them like stencils and made more wrapping paper…

Now I have loads of wrapping paper… Using a different coloured background paper instead of white will probably bring out the colours…
