Sun, Sand and a lot of Fun

Like every 4 year old, S loves to collect stuff from just about anywhere. For instance, a couple of weeks ago we went on a holiday and S picked up some pebbles, she goes to the sand pit and picks up all the shells she can find (we’re soon going to be banned from the playground), and don’t get me started on leaves and flowers and garlic (yes i did say garlic, from her grandmothers).
So a friend of mine did something brilliant with some of the things that her little one collected… she used them! So this one was “inspired” (Read: Stolen) from her
So here’s how we made the Seaside Scene:
We used some sand (from the sand pit… again), the shell (sand pit), pebbles from our holiday to Kasauli, some Felt, i’ve had forever and cotton bathis (you’ll know it when you see it) which my husband claims he needs (NOT) and this is what we did.

The Background – Cut out thermacol
Sun, boat and sails and Crabs- Felt
Birds, the sun’s rays, crab legs and where the sand meets the sea – cotton bathis
Paints and glue ofcourse

Now getting down to business…
and the sand
and we’re all done… well almost
All that was left to do was tidy up…

and finally the well earned rest and snack
